Studio Policies

Each child is expected to be dressed and ready for class 10 minutes before the scheduled class time. Arriving late to class can be disruptive to other students, distracting to the focus of a learning atmosphere and difficult on the groups’ progression in learning.

No gum, food or drinks are permitted in the studio.

Please label all personal items with child's name in permanent ink to cut down on lost items.

We are NOT RESPONSIBLE for lost items, labeled or unclaimed. DO NOT BRING VALUABLE ITEMS TO THE STUDIO.

Please turn off cell phones prior to entering class.  Cell phones are a distraction.

Dancers must use the restroom before class. Leaving during class time is discouraged.

Parents, if you need to remove your child early from class, please inform the teacher prior to class. Interruptions to class interferes with focus and can sometimes cause anxiety with smaller children.

Only students and teacher are allowed in the studio during class unless invited by the teacher for periodic observation.

Regular attendance to class is MANDATORY. If your child is excessively absent for any reason, they may not be allowed to participate in our performance. Excessive is defined as missing more than 5 classes in our 9-month dance season. Attendance in the months of March, April, May and June is important in order for proper preparation for our June performance, therefore every effort should be made to avoid missing a class. Students should avoid missing consecutive dance classes. Teachers will not slow the pace of their class to accommodate a student who does not attend class regularly. Every year, the dancer who attends class regularly performs the best and excels at a steady pace. One absent dancer not only hurts the progress of the individual, it also inhibits the progress of the entire class.

Students are required to participate in all scheduled events. Dare 2 Dance participates in the Robertsdale and Fairhope Christmas Parades the first weekend in December. All events will be posted on our Studio Calendar.

In case of inclement weather, Dare 2 Dance will follow the Baldwin County school policies.  If you gave your e-mail address at registration, we will send out timely notices when possible. Evening classes will be determined by road conditions and weather reports. As always we ask for parents and students to use their best judgment, as your safety is our chief concern during these times.  For class make-up information, please refer to the D2D make-up policy.

Dare 2 Dance observes the Baldwin County public school holidays, with the exception of early dismissal days. Regular scheduled closings are posted on our Studio Calendar.
